Hood and Dash Outer Absorbers

Hood and dash outer absorbers are acoustic components that provide a decorative covering to the underside of hoods (engine room) and absorb air-borne noise. UGN engine-side absorbers are light, exhibit excellent acoustical properties and can be designed to fit any vehicle contour.

Composition
UGN hood and dash absorbers can be manufactured from fiberglass, cotton fibers, a combination of fiberglass and cotton fibers, polyurethane foam or melamine foam. Each solution provides excellent sound absorption and high-temperature resistance. Fabric coverings offer aesthetics and function by repelling oil and water.
